Personal Letter From Dee Yoh

March 25, 2010

Dear Colleagues,

This has been a difficult time. I had hoped that after the surgery I would be able to fully focus on the conference. When I learned the cancer had metastasized, the committee offered to allow me to let them take over the planning of the conference so I could focus solely on my health. It was clear to me I couldn’t give the conference the attention it needed and deserved with this other situation demanding so much attention. Their offer was a welcomed relief, allowing me to step down as the Conference Organizer.

I welcomed the offer from the committee to ask for help from the community. My financial situation has drastically changed with having to quit working and then accumulating medical bills, so to have assistance would be a welcome relief. Thank you for searching your heart to see if you feel called to support this effort.

If you’d like to contact me, I can be reached at DeeYoh@hotmail.com or 660-831-1000. I also want to thank the many folks who have been supporting me with prayers for healing. I have faith that a year from now I will be able to return to work and helping with efforts to promote this work in the US.

With deep gratitude,
Dee
